Prior to sprouting, dahlia tubers do not need regular water, once you see sprouts you may water the plants on a regular basis.
Tubers should be stored in pine shavings in a dark location between 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not allow to freeze. Temperatures above 50 degrees may cause tubers to sprout prematurely.
