For example, if the battery backup uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is plugged into the top wall socket outlet, the power failure cellular text/SMS alert module is plugged into the bottom wall socket outlet. When the alert module detects a power failure, it notifies you via text message. The battery backup uninterruptible power supply (UPS) (sold separately) continues to provide automatic emergency backup power to your electronic devices giving you time to respond to the power failure. This system is stand alone and will work with any Battery Backup Power, Inc. uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
