Austere's sonic heritage is still alive. Even though their roots in early Norse black metal and it's depressive Scandinavian offspring continue to shine through, it is also apparent that the Australians have audibly strengthened their emotional expressiveness and previous blackgaze leanings beyond the point where a stylistic shift towards the latter needs to be diagnosed.

On "Beneath the Threshold", Austere offer more hooks and melodic harmonies to complement the multi-layered, harsh and dreamlike guitar textures expertly woven by Keepin with the aid of Yatras' emotive drumming.

A lot of my books fit on here and there’s still more room left if I wanted to buy more books. It’s a simple looking bookshelf but it’s really pretty. It’s also sturdy the only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 was because it comes with its own plastic screw anchors and they are crap. The shelves were wobbly when we installed them using the plastic screw anchors that came with the packaging. My dad set mine up and luckily he had a bunch of his own so he switched them out with better screw anchors. Once we made that switch it was perfect, there was no wobble or shaking at all. So that’s my only piece of advice. Besides for the screw anchors everything else is perfect
