1980年代のSPHINXのライオンモチーフのブローチ。雄のライオンの頭部が、ゴールドトーンメタルで表現された作品です。

オープンワークのたてがみと鼻先は艶やかなブラックエナメルで彩られ、瞳にはエメラルドグリーンのストーンが煌めいています。骨格、毛並みや牙まで作り込まれており、ライオンの気高さや勇ましさを感じられます。

ライオンのシルエットと光沢もとても美しく、存在感抜群のお品。身に纏えば、エレガントな強さのある印象的なコーディネートに。

ライオンの口角の右側にメッキ剝がれがございます(写真5枚目)ので、価格に反映させていただいております。その他良好なヴィンテージコンディションです。

【SPHINX(スフィンクス)とは】
1948年にイギリスで創業したジュエリーカンパニー。まるで本物のジュエリーに見える、高品質で美しいデザインのコスチュームジュエリーを制作していました。自社製品の他にもKenneth Jay Lane、Nina Ricciなどのデザイナーや、ヨーロッパやアメリカの高級デパート向けにジュエリーデザインを手掛けていました。
刻印には"SPHINX"とシリアルナンバー、またはどちらか一方が刻まれましたが、需要を満たすために刻印をせず、急いで出荷していた時期も。会社は1990年代後半に閉業しました。
