There are burl bud clusters throughout the block. One corner has a small amount of sapwood. The mesquite tree this wood came from was stressed during growth, likely from the wind storms and hurricanes that visit Texas. These growth-related cracks are open and slightly spalted (they stand out with a dark contrast to the matrix). These will be beautiful features in a finished turning and may require stabilization. Nice shirt but size up one to two sizes.

I love this shirt. it is good quality. I got the clay colored one. I really like it. They do run small. I normally wear a medium. So I got a large. It fits pretty well. It is a tad bit tight, but I am losing weight(145LBS) So far. So it should fit fine in a few weeks. I am 5,2 135Lbs. I probably should have gotten the XL.

Slim fit for the winner
