It is all heartwood with a gently curving grain pattern. The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker brown grain. This piece has been air dried to 10 12% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or other significant flaws. There are a couple of surface blemishes from sawblade that will sand right off There are more

This is a nice uniform board of S2S Texas-grown Black Walnut. It is all heartwood with a gently curving grain pattern. The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker-brown grain.

This piece has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or other significant flaws.  There are a couple of surface blemishes from sawblade that will sand right off  There are more than 3 photos, so please scroll down past the first 3 to see them all.
