Flegamina Fast by Teva is a convenient orodispersible (fast-dissolving) tablet containing Bromhexine Hydrochloride 8mg — a clinically proven mucolytic and expectorant agent. The fast-dissolving tablet format means no water is needed — tablets dissolve quickly in the mouth for rapid, convenient dosing. Designed for adults and children over 12 years to clear the bronchi and facilitate expectoration of thick mucus.

How It Works

Bromhexine is a synthetic derivative of the alkaloid vasicine with powerful mucolytic activity. It thins thick bronchial secretions by depolymerising acidic polysaccharides in the mucus, while simultaneously stimulating mucous glands to produce less viscous secretions. This reduces mucus viscosity, facilitates ciliary transport of secretions, and makes expectoration significantly easier — helping to clear the airways and improve breathing comfort.

Active Ingredient Per Tablet

  • Bromhexine Hydrochloride: 8mg

How to Use

Allow tablet to dissolve in the mouth. Take at regular intervals after meals. Do not take immediately before bed. Drink adequate fluids during treatment to support the mucolytic effect.

  • Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet 3 times daily
  • Children 6–12 years: ½ tablet 3 times daily

Treatment is usually 7–10 days. If symptoms worsen or do not improve, consult a doctor.

Important Information

Do not use if allergic to bromhexine or any ingredient. Use with caution in patients with stomach or duodenal ulcers. Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy or during breastfeeding. Contains lactose — not suitable for those with lactose intolerance. Keep out of reach of children.

Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
