Zelf Nameko kweken doe je met houtpluggen voor Pholiota Nameko, beter bekend als de Japanse Bundelzwam. Nameko is een zeer populaire paddenstoelensoort in Japan waar men ze gebruikt in traditionele gerechten zoals miso en nabemono.

Nameko doet het voortreffelijk op loofhout zoals eik, beuk, kastanje, esdoorn, populier en els. We raden aan om de houtpluggen zo snel mogelijk na levering te gebruiken. De beste tijd om bomen of boomstammen te enten is tussen februari en half april, waarbij de pluggen worden aangebracht met een tussenliggende afstand van 10 cm. De berkenhouten myceliumpluggen voor Nameko worden vervaardigd in een steriel laboratorium en zijn uitermate geschikt om de kweek van zwavelzwam zelf op te starten. De houtpluggen voor zwavelzwam worden per bestelde hoeveelheid geleverd in een steriele filterzak.
