A ripper tooth, or root ripper, is a pointed excavator attachment designed for breaking up compacted ground and tearing out stubborn objects, like tree stumps and roots. Its narrow profile concentrates all the power of the machine into a single cutting point, significantly increasing penetration force compared to a standard bucket where force is spread across a wider surface. This makes it especially effective for ripping out roots, removing stumps, and lifting up concrete slabs.
Built from solid steel to withstand high machine forces and demanding site conditions, the Rhinox Ripper Tooth features a curved tine profile to reduce resistance and improve penetration when tearing through material. The hanger system uses a tab-lock design, where interlocking sections are welded together to create a rigid, reinforced structure. Rhinox WainRoy® compatible ripper teeth are fitted with a CAT-style tooth system, featuring a removable cast-steel tip for simple replacement.
