The 3M™ Powered Air Purifying Respirator, GVP-100 is a belt-mounted respirator unit that helps provide a level of air flow that surpasses NIOSH requirements. Depending on the headgear and cartridge, the airflow ranges from 7.0-9.5 CFM. The unit is lightweight and weighs only 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg), and has a life of up to 1000 hours.
Powered Air Purifying Respirators are motorized systems powered by a battery pack which draw air through a filter or cartridge to provide respiratory protection to the wearer. The blower unit can be mounted on the waist, face, or head, depending on the system selected. The motorized blower unit worn at the waist that delivers filtered air into a hood, helmet or facepiece. The 3M™ Powered Air Purifying Respirator, GVP-100 allows the wearer to choose from a wide selection of filters that offer flexibility and freedom to work in a variety of industrial environments. These systems are compatible with many different styles of headgear ranging from lightweight hoods, bumpcaps, hard hats, helmets, and full facepiece respirators.
