Production Note

Plumpton Estate Classic Cuvée NV is a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier made using the Traditional Method. The grapes are hand-picked and whole bunched pressed at the Plumpton winery. The varieties are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks at 12-15°C for two weeks, then set on their lees over the winter. A part of the blend is transferred to old oak barrels for battonage; lees stirring once a week, to round out the wine and add yeast character. The winemaker then carefully crafts our signature blend, whilst teaching our wine students. The wine spends at least a year ageing on lees in the bottle, before riddling and disgorging.

Tasting Note 

Crisp apple and citrus fruit meet creamy brioche in this gold medal-winning English sparkling wine. It is a harmoniously balanced wine with a long refreshing finish. Perfect as an aperitif or with a wide range of foods, from seafood to poultry.
